Jeffrey is tutoring my college age son in Organic Chemistry and has made my son feel 200% confident in learning! JEFFREY G. ROCKS... Our family will continue to utilize Jeffrey for tutoring, for all three of our sons because Jeffrey is absolutely amazing!!! Jeffrey was the first tutor in my college career of a Biology major. I tend to study the material intensively on my own; however, Organic Chemistry was not that easy, especially with a professor who is not capable of teaching it well enough. Thus, Jeff was able to identify my position in understanding the concepts of this science and helped me to improve upon it. With every topic that I needed help with, he first understood my perception and then modified it with examples that would allow me to understand his way of thinking as well as relate it back to mine. Organic Chemistry is definitely one of those classes that intimidate the individual pre-medical student beginning the first day of one's undergraduate career. Being on that boat, I took the liberty of contacting Jeff, via WyzAnt, to schedule periodic meeting throughout the course of my third semester. Jeff was an amazing tutor that brought the concepts taught in class to life. I began to see the relevance and significance of concepts, like reaction mechanisms and chirality, as Jeff taught and, more importantly, I enjoyed the material that was being explained. Jeffrey is down to earth, very patient and extremely intelligent. He used a variety of different methods to help me learn Anatomy of the Bones in a way I was unable to on my own. He was able to extend his time without any issue. Jeffrey is very knowledgeable and very helpful in teaching me ways to remember ridiculous names of the bones and where they were located. I had several questions about ACT English section, and Jeffrey helped me a lot to understand some subtle details I didn't pay attention to. We went over couple of passages; Jeffrey suggested some creative solutions for questions I had most difficulties with. For example, the tutor gave me an advice to treat 'adding sentences' tasks like a lawyer! For other questions, Jeffrey shared some actual grammar rules. Anyway, at the end I was getting a 100% on my passages. I left with a better understanding of the material as Jeffrey gave me very clear explanations. Good job!

I was extremely lucky to have Jeff as my tutor for Organic Chemistry I this past semester. Long story short, Orgo was a nightmare the first time around so I had to retake it. I decided to get a tutor and eventually reached out to Jeff. My first impression was that Jeff was very professional, yet laid-back and easy to talk to. He was very eager to help me reach my goals and showed willingness to do so however he could. I can't say much more about our tutoring sessions other than that they were way better than I could have hoped. Jeff utilizes very direct and easy to understand methods for teaching the fundamentals of Orgo, and with his methods I found Orgo to be actually somewhat enjoyable. He took my least favorite course and made it my favorite -- I can't ask for much more than that. Further, the abilities I found in myself after working with Jeff were truly surprising. I went from failing every exam the last semester to getting some of the highest grades in the class. Beyond his abilities as a tutor, Jeff is honestly just a cool dude. Our sessions felt extremely casual, like hanging out with a friend, and because the sessions were so relaxed, I feel that I learned concepts with ease. I'm happy to say that Jeff felt like a good friend by the end of my time with him. I really don't write reviews for things unless I've found the experience to be very bad or very good. My experience with Jeff was very, very good. Do yourself a favor and reach out -- I can't emphasize this enough. I am very thankful that I did.

I can't say enough good things about Jeffrey G. as a physics tutor. I don't know anything about the subject, and certainly had my reservations about finding a tutor off a website, but my high school junior is now back on top of a course she struggled in this year. And we have Jeff to thank for that. Junior year is anxiety central for most students, as these the are grades most colleges focus on. Physics may have been a challenge, but the added pressure of keeping the GPA in the clouds only exacerbated the problem. Jeff, first and foremost, came in and allayed my daughter's fears by listening to her describe where she needed extra clarity. He reviewed the topics she was struggling with and managed to explain them and work through them in a way she never heard at school. You could see with every session she was building up her strength in the subject as well as her confidence. Jeff was always on time and always came prepared. My daughter would text him the topics she wanted to review before every session so they were ready to get to work as soon as he arrived. He was extremely professional, always encouraging my daughter to text him anytime she had a physics question. I would highly recommend Jeff as a tutor. He clearly knows his stuff, and he knows how to explain it in a manner that clicks.

What more can I say that hasn't already been said in the title?...beyond the fact that Jeffrey is extremely relatable, there is a calm assurance about his approach to teaching. he's very knowledgeable and very comfortable with the material, but it is his ability to break that material down to its common sense concepts, combined with his ability discern a student's specific learning style and tailoring his sessions it that truly sets him apart. With him, I have personally gained a greater sense of confidence about certain subject matter and, specifically, with organic chemistry material I have gained a much deeper understanding and, for the first time, a command of those concepts. His approach is professional and friendly, yet challenging and direct; though not at all threatening or confrontational. I am saddened to be losing him as a tutor, but wish him all the best as he moves on to a new and exciting chapter. I am more than confident that he will be successful in whatever he chooses to do, and those who are fortunate enough to have his support and tutoring--especially for the MCAT--will be better for it.

Jeff met with my daughter for the first time to prepare her for an upcoming exam. I made the connection with Jeff late Monday night, inquiring about a session Tuesday evening. I was impressed with his willingness to meet with us on such short notice. During the session, it took the time to assess my daughter and was patient when she included comments irrelevant to the subject. That was her way of dealing with her shyness. He patiently allowed her to express the irrelevant idea and gently got her back on track. There was quite a bit of material to cover, so he spent two hours with her. She learned and retained more in the 2 hours with Jeff than she has with her teacher. This was a great session.
